Stephanie Swayne, MSW, RSW is a social worker with many years of experience with individual, group and family therapy, forensic assessments, and organizational development work, both in public (hospital-based) and private practice. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Social workers, Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) and she is a member of the board of directors of the Ontario chapter of the Association for Contextual Behavioural Sciences (ACBS). She has conducted numerous workshops with a wide variety of audiences on group therapy, mindfulness-based therapeutic approaches, vicarious trauma, and working in a forensic context. She has presented her work on using mindfulness and contextual psychology-based approaches with forensic clients and in high-stress occupational settings at several international conferences. She is an adjunct lecturer at the University of Toronto Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, she has previously lectured in psychotherapy at McMaster Faculty of Health Sciences, and she is currently teaching a fourth-year degree program course in crisis intervention at Seneca College.
